Surrounded By Angels

Hey Everyone!

I don't have any medical news to share today, but I did have an incredible experience I wanted to share.

Yesterday I had the amazing opportunity of attending the All-4-One concert at the Scera Theater thanks to my good friend Tyla Newbold. (For those of you who did not read my last blog post, she had a successful liver transplant after alot of hardships and alot of trial. She is such an inspiration and example for me.)
Back before her transplant, All-4-One had gone to visit her in the hospital because she was too sick to make it to their concert she had purchased tickets for. They prayed together in that hospital room and Tyla was significantly better the next morning. Tyla and the group have stayed in contact ever since and been great friends, like family :)

I did not figure out until the concert was over that Tyla and her wonderful mother Teresa had prayed to ask who she would bring to the concert with her. They felt there was someone they needed to bring and share this experience with. The day they met Kevin and I, they knew they wanted to take us. Which I will forever be grateful for because last night changed my life.

The concert was wonderful! Those guys are wonderful performers and excellent entertainers! We had a blast!

They were SO fun!

Afterwards, we went backstage to meet them and get a few pictures. They were seriously the nicest people! Jamie, Delious, Tony and Alfred are such wonderful people and were so comforting to talk with. Simply put, they just glowed :) We talked and laughed and I even was able to sing with them, which was so fun! (Those of you who know me, know that I sing everywhere I go, so to sing with these guys was just amazing!) I tried to upload the video, but it didn't work...Check facebook! It worked on there :)

After a little fun, the mood was a little more serious. Teresa shared a little of Tyla's stories, parts of which I had never heard before. It brought me, and others in the room, to tears. Tyla went through alot of struggle, as did her family, and hearing those things touched my heart. A peace of being understood is like no other peace.

Jamie asked if it was okay if they joined in a prayer for me. We all stood in a circle, held hands and Jamie prayed. You know that feeling you get when your heart is so warm and overflowing with love and you just can't help but cry in happiness and gratitude? I have no doubt the spirit was in that room. No doubt.
It was one of the most incredibly moving experiences to feel the love from all these people and to feel God working through these people so that I would feel His love too.
I realized I've been a little chilly lately, and these beautiful, wonderful people working as instruments in the hands of God gave me a blanket. The warmth I felt was indescribable.

I love these people. Tyla, Teresa, Jamie, Delious, Tony and Alfred, Kevin and I will forever remember last night and cherish that memory for the rest of my life. I am so grateful to my Savior. I know I'm going to be okay. Everything is in His hands. I might always have a smile on my face, but that doesn't mean I am not scared. Last night shook me of that fear. The Lord knows what He's doing. He has a plan. His will be done.

"When I needed an angel, it was you who made the sacrifice just in the nick of time.
When I needed an angel, I didn't have to look to the sky, cause you made me realize that you were right here all the time.
Maybe one day everyone will say that I wanna be somebody's angel and I will tell the world about this miracle.
Every moment I'm awake I'll give the love you gave."

Tyla, Teresa, All-4-One, You are angels.

I am so blessed....
