{True Happiness} Comes From Loving, Giving & Serving

Life is so hard. Everyone struggles with something. And everyone is going along their path of life searching for meaning, for truth, for happiness.

I recently came across a story on KSL.com about a family that lives in Eagle Mountain, UT. In 2010 the father of this family, Jared Maynes, was diagnosed with stage four Cirrhosis of the liver.

The Maynes Family

I couldn't help but feel a sudden love for this family, but also a sudden heartbreak. Inside I thought "That's me. I'm headed towards that. He has what I have." ... but he is a lot worse! A long with the hardship of dealing with being on the liver transplant list and suffering through pain, medication, doctors and ER visits, a lot of other tragic things have happened to this family.

In 2011, his daughter was diagnosed with rickets. This year the doctors found a tumor in his wife's brain.

My heart wrenched as I read this story. I couldn't help but cry as I thought about all they are dealing with.

A lot of other people were touched and saddened by their story. So much, in fact, that the community has rallied around them and decided to pitch in! Which is why I am reaching out to you.

For those of you that live in Utah, there is a yard sale in Eagle Mountain on Saturday, June 21. I will come pick anything up from your house that you would like to donate to this yard sale and this sweet family!

Every penny made from this yard sale will go towards the medical bills for this family, which is above $20,000, even with insurance.
If you do not live here, please give anything you can to the fund at this website;  http://www.gofundme.com/3apl6o

Life is so hard and it goes by so quickly. People rush by looking for meaning and happiness. Seize opportunities like this one. Give. Give. Give. Love. Love. Love. Serve. Serve. Serve. After all,
